John was in Jail charged as a believe in Jesus Christ and the book of Revelation was written. Jesus Christ said in the Book of Revelation: Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. Jesus Christ the Word was God, the Word became flesh, Jesus Christ promise whoever calls on my name shall be saved (Salvation, eternal life). Read the Book of John it will change you from death to life.
