More Police Officers need to follow this guys example. These law enforcers need to work with the people and among them to bridge the gap between civillian distrust and law enforcement. Police officers should remember that they are just like us, and not above the law. This mans example displays an approachable humility and relativity to the average citizen, which most officers do not display. They often display a body language and demeanor that is interpreted as unapproachable and intimidating. Basically, if your job is really to help people and keep the peace, you shouldnt be walking around and acting in a way that scares the people you are trying to protect. You should be approachable, friendly, humble, and kind. Try and approach any Bolingbrook cop, for example, and youll usually be met with an attitude of badge entitled arrogance and cockiness that isnt befitting of a protector of the peace... I encourage friends to share this, especially with friends and family who are law enforcement officers in an attempt to spread awareness of how such am individual should act in the presence of the badge and the people they are sworn to protect and serve.
