More Sharing Services EVANSVILLE, Wis. - Officials said an investigation at a rural Evansville home could be connected to a woman missing from Fitchburg. The Rock County Sheriffs Office said deputies are searching the property at 12016 W. Highway 14 for evidence related to the disappearance of an 18-year-old in a nearby county. Aprina Paul was reported missing Tuesday. She had left a house on King James Way in Fitchburg Sunday with an unknown man, Fitchburg police said. In a news release Saturday, the Rock County Sheriffs Office said it received information from police in Fitchburg Friday afternoon that Paul may have died at the Highway 14 home. Nathan C. Middleton, 29, was living in the house, the sheriffs office said. Middleton is being interviewed by deputies and is being held at the Rock County Jail on a probation violation. Deputies have seized items from the home and sent them for forensic evaluation, authorities said. The sheriffs department had two tents set up in the yard of the Rock County home under investigation, including a blue canopy over what appeared to be a burn barrel. Neighbors told News 3 a fire has been kept burning outside the house for about a week. One man living near the home, Tim Lauretic, said the man living at the house had moved in Oct. 15.
