More enlightening philosophy from Bundys Wonderful World of Liberty—The Prequel. That red, white and blue flag behind him apparently guarantees him the right to assert that the nation revolves around Cliven Bundy and his clan of scofflaws, armed and war-lording over the preempted, federally owned, overgrazed range. He has amassed a $1.1 million debt, in unpaid grazing fees and contempt of court fines, over the past 21 years, owed to his beloved We the People public trust. He says the Federal Government has no authority over him, by invoking the authority of We the People. By his conduct, an observer would infer that every American citizen is entitled to make up their very own self-serving rules in this here country, and to exercise the liberty to do exactly as they see fit, unhampered by any concept of civic responsibility. Then, by his own definition of Constitutional Law, would it not grant that all of the rest of us, the other 311+ million constituents of We the People, accounted for by U.S. Census, can claim an equal entitlement to be the Master, calling the shots over the Subordinate Government Slaves? Has he ever had to work for two different bosses at once, much less 311+ million bosses, simultaneously? The Feds, the State of Nevada, the Sheriff of Clark County: Bundy believes they are all supposed to say how high when he says jump, because you know, hes the man; hes the man that he compares to a Founding Father of the Republic.
