More from Sinsaint: (Michelle) ( and she calls me stupid and dumb, LOL) I cant come up with any reasons Darlie would have done it. I cant come up with any reasons Darin would have done it. The two working together with a combined reason to do it? Again, nothing fits the scenario. As for the stranger theory... Its mine, but it fits the evidence. Darlie and/or robbery were the initial motives for the attack. Darlie was awoken by the attacker. Either the intruder never got a chance to warn her to shut up before she started to fight back or he did but she didnt comply. A fight ensues and Darlie passes out at some point. For all we know he thought she was dead at that point. During the attack, the boys woke up. Hes now got a dead woman on his hands and two kids who could start yelling or later identify him. Well, he cant have that. At the point he decided it was best just to get the hell out of there, there is no way to know if he thought Darlie was dead. We do know she said she got up and followed him. We dont know if actually realized she was following him. He could have left believing she was still on the couch dead. Or, he might have realized she got up to follow him but he didnt care at that point. He might have figured she was just a dead woman walking or, in the alternative, she would be more concerned with her injured children over giving chase to him. Also, if he knew she was on her feet he might also have believed she could start screaming before he could get back to her to cover her mouth. And it goes without saying, if your intent was nothing more than to rape and rob but you ended up stabbing three people your concern for robbing a few traceable jewelry items would probably take a back seat to just getting out of there. Picking up the knife... I know I would have. I have no clue who was just in my house but he dropped his weapon. Id prefer it be in my hands just in case he decided to come back. Theres also the issue that at that point she had no idea her or the boys had been attacked and she was probably disoriented. The cops, in this case even, testified its not uncommon for a victim to pick up the weapon if the attacker drops it. The sock has yet to have an answer. Personally, I think the intruder either accidentally dropped it as he left or just threw it down after he used it to wipe of his hands. Sinsaint
