More grade school, zero tolerance, political correctness (PC) run amok. Will this insanity and total lack of common sense never cease? In the American education system, Common Sense is, or has become, Uncommon. 1. Calling the police without notifying parents first? 2. Over reacting to the written word gun? 3. Over reacting by calling police to the phrase, Taking care of business which, by the way, is the name of a Top 40 Hit song in the the 1970s by Bachman Turner Overdrive (BTO)!!!! Dont the FOOLS in that school administration remember that simple little factoid???? Ignorant! Stupid! Little Hitler-Stalins in our school systems. Okay. I get it. By approving these actions and giving the Principal and teacher a Pass for punishment, we are sending several messages. How efficient? Messages: 1. Dont call parents. School authority trumps parent/family authority EVERY time. And that is one thing wrong with society. Proper behavior is most efficiently and effectively learned at home. If you want kids to behave according to The Giver Society norms then indoctrinate the parents. 2. The only reason to over react about a gun word or drawing or gesture is to discourage ANY kind of affinity for guns. The logic is neat, simple, and wrong. Some kids will have to be retrained to like guns if they are to be our Jack-Booted Thugs who kick down our doors in the middle of the night like in Nazi Germany and Communist Russia to serve us our No-Knock arrest warrants. Is that really what we want as a society? Let us assume that we get our way. No American citizen likes to use guns. Our society has a phobia against guns. A bright, cheery, happy ending right? Time for a sleeve-tug - Who protects us when ISIS comes to call? There will ALWAYS be world-wide school yard bullies who want to take our lunch money. 3. WAKE UP!! The police are not your friends anymore like we were taught in the 50s and 60s. In the 60s they beat our heads in Chicago. Since we militarized our police in the 1990s onward, Jack-Booted Thugs have become the norm. Look at the rise in No-Knock warrant servings from the 1970s onward. Look how many innocent toy poodles have been gunned down in front of their owners and kids for NOTHING! Look at Trayvon. Look at Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO. You cannot tell a policeman from a soldier in Fallujah, Iraq...except the soldier and marine in Iraq had definitive rules of engagement. Our American militarized police have no such rules. Shoot on sight.
