More great news: my kidneys are fully functional again and I can stop receiving dialysis treatments! This is so incredibly huge. This was the one big concern that there might be long-term damage from this whole incident. Plus, dialysis is the main thing really slowing down my recovery. It makes me feel horrible and its a four hour process happening three times a week. On a out-patient schedule this was going to be a nightmare to schedule into life. Hopefully soon I can also get this dialysis catheter removed. I have two tubes going into my chest. One of the tubes is attached to the top of my heart, which Ill admit, kind of freaks me out. This also slows me down because I dont have full use of my arm since my left pectoral muscle is a bit impaired, or impaled may be more appropriate. I cant carry baby Michael safely with this. It makes showering difficult, too. So, one more surgery and Ill be back to normal. Then getting back to 100% really should just be a matter of time and exercise. Yay!! Maybe soon my dietary restrictions will be lifted and I can eat avocados, oranges, and bananas again. Guacamole. Orange juice. Mmm...
