[톱스타뉴스 김명수 기자] Top Star New Reporter Kim MyungSoo. 구혜선 감독의 3번째 영화 ‘다우더(제작:구혜선필름,예스프로덕션)’가 제19회 ‘부산국제영화제(BIFF:Busan International Film Festival)’에 공식 초청됐다. 오는 10월 2일부터 11일까지 한국 영화의 발상지인 부산 해운대 일대에서 펼쳐지는 영화인들의 최대 축제 BIFF는, ‘갈라 프레젠테이션’, ‘아시아 영화의 창’, ‘뉴 커런츠’, ‘한국영화의 오늘-파노라마’, ‘월드 시네마’, ‘와이드 앵글’, ‘오픈 시네마’, ‘특별기획 프로그램’ 등 총 11부문 행사로 짜여져 있으며, 그 중 구혜선 감독의 영화 ‘다우더’는 ‘한국영화의 오늘-파노라마’ 섹션에 초청됐다. One of them is called Todays Panorama of Korean Films and Daughter will be shown in that section. 구혜선 / YG 구혜선 감독의 신작 ‘다우더’는 ‘요술(2010)’과 ‘복숭아나무(2012)’에 이은 세번째 장편 연출작으로, 중학생이 된 ‘산(구혜선 분)’이와 강압적인 체벌과 통제 속에 딸을 가두려는 ‘엄마(심혜진 분)’와의 갈등을 다룬 심리극이자 사회적인 메시지를 담은 영화다. In Daughter, San, who becomes a junior high school student, experiences conflict with her mother (acted by Shim HyeJin) who applies coercive discipline and control over her daughter. It is a movie that contains psychological and social message. 특히 구혜선은 이번 영화를 통해 처음으로 영화 배우에 도전해 영화 팬들의 기대감을 자아내고 있다. 구혜선은 그간 독창적인 스토리와 아름다운 색채감이 돋보이는 뛰어난 영상미로 자신만의 작품세계를 구축해 온 만큼 ‘다우더’에 대한 영화 팬들의 관심이 높다. Daughter draws much attention of GHSs fans as it is her first challenge as a movie actress. Director GHS has been making movies that contain unique, original stories with beautiful and outstanding visuals/cinematography. 연출과 주연을 맡은 구혜선은 “딸아이를 분신처럼 여기는 엄마는 사랑이라는 이유로 아이를 학대하고 독립체로서의 딸을 부정한다. 이 심리극을 통해 삐뚤어진 모성애를 비관하고, 가여운 어머니들의 자화상을 안타까운 시선으로 이해하고자 한다”고 기획의도를 밝혔다. GHS: The mother sees her daughter as an alter ego (extension of herself?) and, in the name of love, abuses her daughter and denies her daughters individuality/separate entity. Through this psychological story, she wants to critically look at the image of misconstrued mothers love but also with understanding. 또한 “아시아 최고의 영화축제에 초청되어 영광이다”며 소감을 전했다. 이어 “영화제가 끝나고 ‘다우더’가 개봉을 하는데 많은 관심을 가져주셨으면 좋겠다”며 가까운 시일내 ‘다우더’ 개봉을 예고했다.
