More information on the Wildcard Weekend! Whos coming out? Dont forget we have an after show party going on under the pavilion, all kinds of deals on apparel this weekend, and much more! Saturday, November 15 Then on Saturday, the mighty Spirit Dodge Big Blocks will headline the racing card as they compete in a 40-lap main event paying $4,000 to win, $500 for 10th, and $300 to take the green. Many outsiders are expected to join the already talent-laden Bridgeport modified field. The 811 Dig Safely Crate/Sportsman will race for $1,000 to win with $100 to start the 25-lap event. The Stewart Stainless Outlaw Stocks will round out the racing program on Saturday with the Friends of Mike $1,000 to win 20 lap feature. All three divisions will be crowning their Poker Series champions once the final checkered falls. 811 Info Colonial Pipeline and the 811 Dig Safely program have made their presence known throughout the 2014 season as they were the headline division sponsor of the tracks Crate/Sportsman division. Because pipeline markers do not reveal the exact location or depth of pipelines, state laws require homeowners/individuals and professional excavators to call 811 —the nationwide safe-digging number—to have all underground utilities, including pipelines, accurately located and marked before any digging project begins. By calling 811, you can prevent service disruptions, project delays, accidents, injuries and even death. Bridgeport Speedway fans should be sure to grab all the important information about calling before you dig throughout the weekend. 358 Small Blocks The 358 Small Blocks will make their second appearance of the 2014 season. Ryan Watt was able to withstand the pressures from Wade Hendrickson back in July at Bridgeport during the annual Night of Wings show. Both drivers will be back in action along with some other heavy hitters in the business. Dominic Buffalino, Jimmy Horton, Tommy Beamer, Ron Roberts, Lou Cicconi, Mike Iles, Rick Laubach, Duane Howard, Craig VonDohren, Richie Pratt, Anthonly Perrego, John Pakenham, Neal Williams, Shawn Ward, Danny Creeden, Jimmy Blewett, and Bob Drayton are just some of the drivers who have voiced their intentions on competing in the 358 portion of the weekend. With $3,000 up for grabs for only 30 laps of competition dont be surprised to see quite a few more out of towners tow into Bridgeport on Friday night. All non-qualfiers for the 358s will receive $50 tow money courtesy of lap sponsors. TSRS 305 Sprints After 5 hands of the 2014 TSRS Bethman & Sons Auto Center/Champion Tire/Bruces Speed 305 Sprint Poker Series, it has come down between three drivers that can claim the title. Tim Tanner leads with three Queens and is guaranteed at least the third best hand. Only Jeff Geiges and Bobby DeVault can earn a better hand (that is if Tanner doesnt earn another Queen, of course he would lock up the title if that were to happen). Geiges needs a 7 or 9 card to win the title while DeVault needs an Ace or 9 for a straight that could also earn him a title should Tanner or Geiges not get what they need. Dave Brown currently sits with the third best hand. He cannot win the title, but could possibly move up into the second slot should he get an Ace, King, Jack or 5. Mike Haggenbottom, Karl Freyer, Kyle Purks, Adam Carberry, Eddie Wagner, and the previously mentioned DeVault can finish third by duplicating their highest card if Dave Brown doesnt better his hand. The Worst Hand can only go to one of two drivers...Eddie Wagner holds a slim lead over Adam Carberry. $1,500 will go to the driver with the best hand, $750 to the second best hand, and $500 each to the third best and worst hand. A 55 gallon drum of fuel and $300 cash prize provided by Snookies Speed and Race Car Rides will be claimed in post-race drawing for all the drivers attending at least 5 of the 6 Poker races. There will also be another post-race drawing offered by Thayer Performance where a set of rear Hoosier Tires will be won by one lucky driver. Not only is the Poker Series up for grabs the 2014 Hilborn-TSRS Point Series couldnt be any tighter. Past series champion Mike Haggenbottom currently has a one point lead over second place Eddie Wagner. Mathematically alive, but need a little help is Adam Carberry as well as Dave Brown. Will it be Haggenbottoms experience that keeps him at the top or will it be Wagners hunger and desire that vaults him into a championship? The only way to find out is be at Bridgeport Speedway on Friday, Nov. 14. All 305 non-qualifiers will receive $50 tow money courtesy of Bridgeport Speedway lap sponsors.
