More legendary film heroines are ready to open a can of whoop-ass in THE SURVIVORS. William Butler’s company Transition Entertainment has announced more actresses ready to kick-ass in the feature-film “The Survivors”. The story is a deconstruction of traditional horror films and follows a group of “final girls” who turn the tables on the ultimate serial killer. Instead of running, this time it’s the killer who finds himself on the defense. “The world has seen enough of women being portrayed in film as helpless victims, let’s see a take on the story where they take charge and the shoe’s on the other foot.” Lisa Wilcox (Nightmare on Elm street 4/5), Kelli Maroney (Night of the Comet) and Beverly Randolph (Return of the Living Dead) Donna Wilkes (Jaws 2) are the latest inductees to the unprecedented horror feature-film event . They will join Adrienne King (Friday the 13th), Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elmstreet), Jordan Ladd (Cabin Fever), Amanda Wyss (Nightmare on Elmstreet), Deborah Foreman(April Fools Day), and Patricia Tallman (Night of the Living Dead) who have also agreed to appear in the film project that shoots in 2015. It is rumored that there will be a total of twenty-eight “final girls” appearing in the project at one time or another. “Late September we will be announcing the younger classmen in the cast” add the producers. “It’s been a pleasure to catch up with so many amazing actresses that we have either already worked with or enjoyed as fans of the genre.” “We’re very proud to be a part of a project that will not only deliver scares, action and twists, but unites women in a deconstruction of the genre in a way that has never been done.” “The Survivors” is currently being developed by writer-director William Butler (Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3, Night of the Living Dead and Friday the 13th VII) and writer Patrick J. Doody (Beneath). “This is by far my happiest moment working in the genre… besides, who doesn’t want to see your favorite actresses kicking ass?” says Butler. “Patrick also has an amazingly fresh take on traditional horror storytelling, he is a perfect fit for a project like this”. Several directors are currently being considered for the film, one will be locked by Jan 2015. Follow “The Survivors” facebook page for more inside information. https://facebook/thesurvivorsmovie
