More on Ekiti election. Let it be on record that my compound was invaded by some Mopol on duty during the election. About six houses were ransacked inside out looking for election fraudsters. We were later told that a prince of the town and one of my community boys alleged that we were thumb printing ballot papers in our compound. They came wielding their guns. They entered from the beginning entering our mothers rooms to the end and into their kitchen coming out from the adjoining building. They entered about five houses in all. At the end they stationed themselves at every exit leading to the pooling booth expecting to see some election fraudsters emerged from somewhere. They never left the place until the end of the election. Majority of our people were surprised about the spurious allegation because of our type of a people. We may be sympathizers of a particular party but our goodwill in the town cannot be jettisoned for any party. It will be unheard that our high Chief as the quarter-head and those of us his siblings will ever engaged ourselves in such an act for politicians who are enemies today and friends a moment after. For those who perpetrated the rumour, please dont begin to sow another seed of discord in the community. Let us begin to live in peace among ourselves instead of re-enacting old wounds that had been forgotten. For the prince remember the man who brought you out from the dungeon of poverty to this position you are now building upon. Dont let your odo gbagbe orisun re so that it does not dry in no distant time. We have seen political gladiators of yesteryear who are nobody today.
