More on that car/pedestrian altercation: Witnesses told Metro the driver and pedestrian got into a dispute as Cousineau tried to cross Laurier Avenue from Bank Street and the driver started honking at the young man to get out of the way. “What got my attention was when (Cousineau) started yelling at the driver,” said Raymond Levesque, who said he was the first person to run to Cousineau’s aid, as he lay pinned under the white Austin Mini. According to Levesque, the young pedestrian slammed his hands on the hood of the driver’s car as he tried to cross the street. That’s when the driver allegedly drove over Cousineau. “I heard the engine rev up and he just hit the kid. When I ran up, the front wheel was on top of the kid’s chest.”
