More on the “Healing” theme, volunteer Linda sent us this lovely story we just had to share with you. “This is “Jess”, a young female wedge tailed eagle I rehabilitated in conjunction with Wron Wron Prison when it was active. She recovered from a leg fracture and feather damage, she was with me for 18 months and then exercised in a flight aviary at Wron Wron prison for a couple of months. I fitted a radio tracking device, and after a few quiet words shown in the picture with an audience consisting of Wron Wron prisoners and officers that assisted me, we released her. I then tracked her progress for the next 4 months until the battery went flat on the transmitter :)”. Thanks Linda!
