Mr. Barber and his brother controlled 85% of the match business in 1885 (Diamond Matches) He started Diamond Rubber which was bought by G.H .Goodrich and started Stirling Boiler which was acquired by Babcock and Wilcox--which became the huge nuclear plant construction concern. The house was built in 1909 and called AnnaDean Farm. It used advanced techniques for farming and took itself seriously as a farmstead. Anybody got a match? Lots of pictures. Most Easterners never knew of this concern....until they ran through their own money and needed ours to prop them up!
