More proof the the U.S need to end the embargo against Cuba. Putins reopening of a former Soviet signals intelligence base near Havana is a testament to the failure of America’s embargo policy towards Cuba. For more than 50 years, defenders of the embargo have argued that our isolationist approach just needs a little more time to work. This development is loud and clear that allowing a handful of hardliners in Congress from Miami to dictate foreign policy undermines America’s best interests and jeopardizes the national security. We can continue to with the embargo till the current Cuban government vanishes, or we allow the Russians and the Chinese to build a deeper presence and invest in Cuba. Like I have said before, the chinese are investing heavily in Cuba and each time i go to Havana I see more and more of their investments taking shape..Soon, the Russian invasion will once again take place in Cuba..
