They can lie dormant for centuries and then flower in the most unpromising soil.” ― Carl Sagan, Cosmos. My childrens sermon this morning is about planting seeds, something Ive seen happen over and over with in my life. Someone sows an idea, a kindness, an act of generosity and, especially with Gods help, these things grow and spread. I love the book quote and the idea of books like seeds, not knowing who will flower after the reading and what will be accomplished. It makes me think of President Lincoln and how much books influenced his life.
