More scattered showers and t-storms have moved thru the Wiregrass - TopicsExpress

More scattered showers and t-storms have moved thru the Wiregrass this afternoon. No storms had severe t-storm characteristics, but plenty had heavy rain and lightning. We could see a few more before the sun sets, but after that a prolonged mostly dry stretch dominates our forecast. Drier air in the mid levels of the atmosphere will move in Friday morning and hang around for most of the weekend. This will suppress rain and t-storm development for the Wiregrass. Rain chances Friday to Sunday will be 10%-30%, with a higher rain chance as we get closer to the work week. This means most people will stay dry for the next three days. The trade off will be hot and muggy conditions, especially for Friday. Highs will be in the low/mid 90s for tomorrow and thru the weekend, with heat index temps (what it will actually FEEL LIKE outside) near 100 each afternoon. Take all your precautions to avoid heat exhaustion, drink plenty of water and get inside to the AC once in a while. To start our week off on Monday, more mostly dry conditions prevail with highs once again near 90, with better rain chances returning on Tuesday.
