Some question whether the facts support the intermediate premises; that a conceptus counts as an innocent life, that those products prevent pregnancy by preventing concepti from attaching to the uterus. But all these premises may be rationally entertained no matter what ones religion is. Does Schumer then want to say that ethics doesnt belong on business? Does Schumer want to say that setting up and operating a business according to ones own conscience is theoretically not possible? Does Schumer want to say that all businesses in virtue of being such are creatures of and property of the government and therefore are not under the company creators direction but the governments? The answer must be yes to all three. According to Schumer, we have become a socialist country by sheer presupposition. Free Markets won the humanitarian debate and socialism lost. All that is left is just brute power.
