More than 200 teenage girls have just been enslaved because they had the brains and guts to seek to become teachers and doctors. They deserve a serious international effort to rescue them. These are the words of Nicholas Kristof in the NYT, from his article: Bring Back Our Girls, about the recent kidnap in Nigeria, and he is absolutely right. Please do read this opinion piece and consider reposting it. Kristof is a tireless crusader for human rights. He called Secretary of State John Kerry directly on this and describes his phone conversation with Kerry. Lets hope and pray that Kristofs outcry, that our outcry, that the outcry of many the world over will have some affect on the fate of the missing girls. ----- And I want to thank all of you brought various versions of this story to the page here.
