More than 30 Paid Internships Immediately Available Locations: D.C. and nationwide Application Deadline: Friday, Aug. 23 The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has more than 30 additional paid internships available now for college and university students this fall in D.C. and nationwide locations. Paid full-time or part-time internships at the rates ranging from $11.75 - $14.25 per hour are available with the USDA in Washington, D.C. and in field locations nationwide. Part-time applicants selected must work a minimum of 20-hours per week. HACU will provide round-trip airfare and assist with housing arrangements. Applicant eligibility requirements: Minimum 3.0 GPA Enrolled in a degree program for the fall 2013 semester Completed their freshman year of college Possess U.S. citizenship The following is only a short list of the possible majors that should apply: Business * Communications * Food Science * Government Health Communications Human Development * Human Resources Law * Math * Microbiology * Nutrition Pre-law * Pre-veterinarian * Public Administration * Public Policy * Sociology 1. About HNIP The HACU National Internship Program has had more than 10,000 participants since its inception in 1992. The program provides college and graduate students the opportunity to gain professional development opportunities with the federal government and corporations. Students intern at federal and corporate sites for a duration of ten or fifteen weeks and receive a stipend.
