More than 40 participants turned out in Kamloops Wednesday for a discussion on suicide prevention. The event, 308 Conversations Campaign – was hosted by Cathy McLeod, Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo MP, in partnership with Interior Health and the Kamloops Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association. Several IH staff joined the panel to provide answers to audience questions. MPs across Canada are encouraged to host discussions about suicide, as proposed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
