More than 4000 new SNP and in excess of 1200 new Scottish Green - TopicsExpress

More than 4000 new SNP and in excess of 1200 new Scottish Green acolytes in the past 48 hours. I am one of them, I have become a paying member of the Greens. Taking into consideration reports that people under the age of 65 voted overwhelmingly Yes*, this seemingly new engagement in political awareness derives directly from a sense of being cheated, again, by the old establishment. Ive always voted a mixture of socialist, Green and SNP but always avoided committing to any one party as surely no one set of policies is without fault? However, the Green party does have a set of policies I admire. They are idealists and many of their proposals are radical. But radical idealism is far more healthy than corruption, stagnation and the privilege of assumed entitlement from the main Westminster parties. Id far rather have politicians who speak my language than those who mangle the english language to weasel out of any true meaning or commitment. Scotland may not have voted for independence but it has, is and will continue to show that it is alive & willing to strive for better than that lot. Britain, dead from the waist down.
