More than 8,800 participants took part in “ComChest Heartstrings Walk 2014 @ Marina Bay” last weekend, which included a scenic 4km walk around Marina Bay. This is the largest turn-out in the past four years. Besides the 4km walk, the vertical marathon “Race to the Sky” also attracted 160 thrill-seekers scaling up 57 storeys of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel to the Sands SkyPark. The fastest male and the fastest team also broke the record for the vertical marathon, with 6 min 29 sec and 22 min 18 sec clocked respectively. Over $1.5 million was raised in this year’s “ComChest Heartstrings Walk 2014 @ Marina Bay”, the highest since the event was first held at Marina Bay in 2011.
