More than 90 scientists, many of them with recognized relevant expertise, have signed a statement that there is no scientific consensus on the safety of genetically modified (GM) foods and crops. NOTE WELL: This is not the same as claiming that genetically modified crops have been proven unsafe, nor the same as ginning up fear or sowing false doubt - denialism - about GM food and crop efficacy.
