Dr. Greco stating he has Treated 1,000 animals in 3 years, does CHEAP vet care, says the shelter brings animals EVERY MORNING to his hospital. Strangely according to the handwritten FOIL report there was 289 cats (58 DOA & 60 murdered) and 207 dogs (53 adopted & 52 murdered) for a Grand Total of 496 animals less the DOA cats that is 438 LIVE ANIMALS. If we minus the euthanized animals that leaves 326 animals in 2013. Even if we multiply that by 3 and it equals 978 animals, we SERIOUSLY DOUBT every single animal in that shelter saw any vet, no less Dr. Greco. WE ARE DEMANDING THESE RECORDS BE PROVIDED and we believe Dr. Greco needs to be investigated. And he WILL BE. THE SMITHTOWN SHELTER DID NOT TAKE IN 1,000 ANIMALS IN 3 YEARS!!! Add to that Dr. Greco seems to think it is ok to euthanize an entire shelter full of animals who have ear mites and the herpes virus, clearly easily curable diseases. THIS SITUATION IS OUT OF CONTROL AND WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE HOW MUCH THE SMITHTOWN RESIDENTS WERE RIPPED OFF OF SUPERVISOR VECCHIO APPROVED TO PAY THOSE BILLS ABOVE AND BEYOND THE MEASLY PITTANCE OF A $10,000 ANNUAL VET BUDGET.
