More vinyl folks! Got this one a year and a half ago,and is the best looking album in my collection!WOW Got another KILSLUG official release here,.It was brought to my attention that the Wiki bio sucks so heres a more accurate acount of the band :) Heres a bio written by some Brit : Morticia Morgue existed briefly from 1982-83 having formed after The Groinoids (Big Daddy, Cheez, Mongoloid, Rico Petroleum) and The Sickness (Big Daddy, Larry Lifeless) split up. Basically, Cheez and Mongoloid formed Morticia Morgue and Rico Petroleum and Larry Lifeless formed Kilslug. Big Daddy soon followed joining both Morticia Morgue on drums (replacing original drummer Sluggo) and Kilslug on bass. Morticia Morgue only played 2 or 3 gigs and did one rough demo recording on cassette 4 track, convincing their friend Billy Gallagher, whod never been in a band before or has since, to do vocals. Larry Kelley also played guitar briefly. After Kilslug had some line-up changes with Big Daddy moving from bass onto drums, Cheez and Mongoloid also joined on bass and guitar respectively to combine the two bands and form what became the classic album line-up of Kilslug (Larry Lifeless, Rico Petroleum, Mongoloid, Cheez, Big Daddy) with most of Morticia Morgues material, primarily Death Squad, also becoming Kilslug tracks. In addition , Big Daddy and lifeless had been working and recording as the sickness for 3 or 4 years playing more noise/nowave with some small similarities to the bands that came after. Big thanks to Drummer Bigdaddy Slug for key insight into their history! Sins, Tricks & Lies came out in 2012 thru Limited Appeal Records and talk about doing a release justice! Its on 11 red Vinyl and Limited edition of 275. Record plays from the inside out wich to me is really cool and the best part is the record is housed in an embossed hardcover leatherette custom jacket and with stamped record centers. The leatherette jacket is made just like the way they printed old books way back in the day, like say for instance a bible or something! 7 awesome tracks here,.doubt youll find it to buy new but maybe used , enjoy ;) https://youtube/watch?v=Z65Zidh8YJc
