More warmth this afternoon as high pressure is firmly in control - TopicsExpress

More warmth this afternoon as high pressure is firmly in control of our weather. This has lead to scattered fair-weather cumulus clouds once again, and temperatures rising into the mid/upper 80s. More heat is on the way for this week, as our hot forecast stays on track. Expect mild lows tomorrow morning, with temps dropping only to the mid 60s, right near average for this time of year but warmer than weve been recently. Highs Wednesday will be the closest to 90 that weve been all week, with a few making it to 90° but more spots staying in the upper 80s. Thursday morning lows will fall to the mid 60s once again with a few more spots seeing fog as humidity increases. Thursday I think we will break the streak of days officially below 90° as the mid-level ridge builds even stronger. Most folks will have high temps in the 90s by Thursday with a few coastal places or in the FL Panhandle feeling upper 80s. The run of 90° heat continues Friday and for the weekend ahead too, with not much chance of rain. We could have a few pop-up airmass showers, but I think the bulk of the Wiregrass will stay dry thru the weekend.
