Morgan Freeman says exactly what Ive been saying for a long time about race and racism: 1) Race is not a factor in income potential. 2) If you talk about it (racism), then it exists. Of course, me saying it doesnt matter or count because, race, but Morgan Freeman and Don Lemon saying it counts because, race. That last statement adquately demonstrates that what we have today is a facade of symptoms created and sustained by those who wish to perpetuate the excuses afforded by judging everything based on the color of someones skin. Those still viewing the world through that lens are incapable of realizing or admitting that the rest of the country has moved on to judging people on the content of their character. They then project that lens onto everyone else who has moved on and inadvertantly demonstrate their failure to move forward by falsely accusing others of being racist when they are describing a judgement of someones character. The more sinister side of it is, of course, those who have politically weaponized racism and actively use it to quell debate or discussion and as a convienent excuse for not getting there, as Mr. Freeman puts it. Sadly, the most obvious example of this devious use of something we should be celebrating the end of comes from our very own President and his Attorney General - and the PR and News forces that are in active campaign mode attempting to constantly make him look good.
