Morgan is getting a lot of media attention on this article. Here is my response. The massive failure of Southeast Alaska ANCSA corporations do not define success either. Sealaska has managed $140+ million in operational losses in the past five years, only offset by the earnings from the Permanent Fund Shareholders created in 1987 and payments from other ANCSA Regional corporations. No, Shareholders have learned not to leave Directors money to invest or manage, it seems always to end up their or their families pockets or lost in stupid business deals.
