Mormon missionaries came by today. Normally I like to talk to them - TopicsExpress

Mormon missionaries came by today. Normally I like to talk to them but they came at dinner time. They had nice little pins saying LDS, so I knew right away where they were from. I said no thank you, nice and polite, but they tried to stay. I said I know who you are but no thank you. I started to close the door but the one girl asked Do you know anyone who needs help? ...now I am not naive enough to think that there isnt anyone in St. Albert that needs help. Im sure there is quite a few who do. I also have to go to downtown Edmonton quite often. Im pretty sure these girls are aware of the soup kitchens and support centres that exist in every major city... So I say I thank you for your concern about our well being, and I know there are quite a few people looking for help, but not my family. Try the Bissel Centre. I then closed the door. They were still canvassing the neighbourhood when we left for soccer. I guess its easier to ask people not looking for help than it is to go where they are asking for help. The funny thing, a huge LDS church is in the neighbourhood. Its not hidden and has a large spire on the roof. Its the second tallest structure in the neighbourhood. I thought they stayed out of their own neighbourhoods.
