Mornin.... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!.... Pills in.. Hot coffee... A cloudy 42 degrees. High of 42 today with a morning shower or two. Low tonight of 32. Breezy with breaking clouds. Its a green wet Christmas here. My lawn is devoid of snow and the puddle at the end of the drive is full. No frosted lilacs frosted with snow. I went to bed at 4:30am and have been up about an 1 1/2 hours. Bets has been rattling pots and pans for a few hours after rising into the darkness of early morning. Shes sitting on the couch telling me that Ethan and Brittany have all ready come and gone on the new mini motor cycles that Gary bought for the kids of the house. I didnt hear a thing. Pies are in the oven and the kitchen is ready for prep work for the rest of the meal. Prime Rib, Mashed potatoes, green beans from our summer garden. Very simple! Im on potato peeling and mashing duty. Im slowly transitioning into the kitchen. Today is a comfortable sweats day. Time in the kitchen with music. Bets being the foil for my rapier wit. Were both already starting our first pointed touches of the morning. We both ache today. Her from her on the feet time she spent at work through this busy time year in retail and the early present I gave her when I stepped on her leg in the darkness. Now bruised and purple. I told her its the only thing Im giving her and should I put a bow on it? Seems Santa didnt hear my wish for snow and brought wet, cold, damp rain instead. I must have been naughty. Hehehe...:):):):).. Kitchen time with Bets and music will ease my aches. So will scotch. Beers are cold and waiting and its beer 30 somewhere in the world already. So let the day begin with glee and joyful noises of the day. Ethan just came back in from Gary and Pats and is taking Rocky out for a good long walk and hes off into the woods to hunt. So itll be just the 3 of us for a while.. A nice quiet day in our cold mountain home.
