Mornin. No sun today. 38 degrees with a high of 53. Rains are coming.. No crows. No rooster no Ruby.. WTH?? The birds are otherwise are here but very quiet. Even at 38 degrees the land is holding the cold. A testament to the truly cold long winter.. The lilacs have very visible buds now. Its still too cold, damp and muddy to kneel on the ground and weed Betsys flower bed and look for signs of her daffodils. Theres birthday coming up and Ethan spoke of planting another plum and pear tree for the occasion to match the 2 others he planted on the last go around. We just might have fruit this year from them. Ethan, Brittany and Rocky are out the door. Meetings, school and the dog park. Bets is at work. The house is quiet. A bit chilling inside but comfortable. COFFFFFEEE is in my hand and the weather channel is muted.. Thankfully Ethan remember to bring the beloved coffee maker back from Garys. Bets and I would have killed him otherwise. Betsys death for him would have been quick. Mine more slow and painful. Im really surprised by the quiet in the hills today.. I do hear the low familiar rumbling of laden truck moving down the road to Ithaca. Work has begun at Garys... Another day started and counted in the book.. Did I mention coffee?..
