Mornin.. Pills in. Coffee. HOT! A cool 54 getting sunny degrees now. 78 for a high today. Pleasant and getting warmer. 54 tonight with Apache fog. Mainly clear. Im half nakie and waiting for the sun to hit the porch and then sleeping dog and I are out with the birds. Im trying to get as much out of being outside as possible. Its time to get the coal in and fix up drafts and re-tweak the coal stove. Life remains the same otherwise. My health is getting better and Im still dropping pounds. Almost another 10 lbs last month. 274 now. The neighborhoods is getting back to normal after my neighbors house fire. Ruby barks in the morning now, not as much as she use to. She became much older after the transitions from the blaze. She is now happily in her new home. No rooster crows as of yet. The crows and the new babies still bark. Hummingbirds crash into each other and near me on the porch. Bets and Ethan are out and at work. A quiet house and grinding peace of the season is constant. Im happy. Summer company. Kids and fires on the lawn. Not enough of that! Garden is growing. Lilies still blooming. Harmonicas day and night. Lots of seasonal local fruit and beers. Great food on the grill. Not liking the cool of the last few days. Such a stark reminder of what is to come. 4x4 4 wheeled hover round sits on the lawn waiting. Hard to ride or do much while babysitting Rocky. Lots of new holes on the edge of the lawn near the lilacs. I wont begrudge him that. Hes been good company although still pigheaded. Were almost through the terrible years and he shows great promise. Manners training is constant. A pocket full of doggie pepperoni treat is a daily ritual. I spend time on the porch with him day and night with both of napping in the moon light and warmth. Listening to night sounds together. The sun is on the porch now. The early morning fog has lifted and I see hummingbirds flying by my window to the feeders. Time for a fresh hot coffee, pants and socks and sandals and tee shirt. Its Friday. Enjoy the day worker bees. Be safe and be kind.
