Morning And Mad News: Former Lover to Britney Spears Killed in Afghanistan by Taliban Right out the gate in the New Year and Britney Spears faces tragedy. Britney Spears is reportedly distraught at the news that her one-time boyfriend in rehab has been slain by the Taliban. An unnamed source said, (quote) “She is devastated. Britney thought he was a lovely man.” The pop princess first met John Sundahl during one of stints in a rehab facility. As her in-house 12-step counselor, Sundahl was responsible for Britney kicking the booze habit. Their emotional connection turned into a physical relationship, even though Sundahl should have not crossed those counselor-client boundaries.
