Morning Announcements Friday, August 9, 2013 S1: Good Morning Aikahi! I am 6th grader, Nani Tomich. S2:And I am 6th grader, Cascade Jackson. Today is Friday, August 9th, a “D” day. These are your announcements. S1:Please rise for the Pledge of Allegiance (wait 10 seconds) Ready, begin: I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. S2:Please pause for a moment of silence and think about how you can be responsible by having all of your supplies in class (wait 10 seconds and then…) Please be seated (Wait 10 seconds.) Our lunch menu for today is: Roast Turkey with gravy, whipped potatoes, broccoli & carrots with dip, orange wedges, and whole-wheat roll. S1: Our Student Council Elections are being held today in the library! Grades 4 through 6 should watch the campaign speeches before coming down to the library to vote. Good luck to all of the candidates! S2:STAR testing continues today and goes through next Tuesday. Be sure to eat a good breakfast, get plenty of rest and do your best on the test! S1:Keeping you safe on recess duty today will be Mrs. McCreedy, Mrs. Kiyohara, Mrs. Sacman, Mrs. Joy and Ms. Heupel (pause) Aloha kakahiaka, our Hawaiian phrase for the day is “E kala mai ia’u” which means “I’m sorry”.
