Morning Buddha blessings to everyone, from the Chua Van Phap pagoda of the Vietnamese Village of Puerto Princesa, Palawan. There are, I read on a travel blog, possibly 7 families left living on this settlement that once housed 2000 assylum seekers. Families of Vietnamese fled their country due to the horrors of the Vietnam war and were relocated to this village, which lies practically deserted as many of them have since returned to Vietnam, relocated to other countries, or have moved closer to Puerto to ply their trade. Which explains the popularity of pho and baguettes in this lovely city; had a meal yesterday right at Viet Ville and it was heavenly. Oh, this settlement was made possible through the CBCPs efforts, to their credit.
