Morning Chat: So the love of God who is spirit is no fitful,fluctuating thing,as human love is,nor is it a mere impotent longing for things that may never be;it is,rather,a spontaneous determination of God`s whole being in an attitude of benevolence & benefaction,an attitude freely chosen & firmly fixed........Everything around me keeps changing,Lord. Nothing lasts. My moods shift;the seasons of life come & go; and friends become different. While I age physically,my face is different than it was 10 yrs ago. But when I start to feel as,if there is nothing sure & steady on which I can depend,I realize that even as I contemplate these things,your love-your ever-present,unchanging love-is holding me close to your heart .Through the transitions of life,your love keeps me sane & gives me courage & hope for the future. Your love is my rock,my anchor,and my foundation.
