Morning Cup of Motivation SLAP ME AGAIN: Last week when the Air Asia plane was still missing, I heard a former Transportation Secretary being interviewed who said, One of the problems is that so many pilots are used to putting the plane on autopilot, in fact they call it autopilot addiction, and just sit back until its time to land so that when a problem occurs, they dont know what to do! How many people are like this? Their lives are just kind of on autopilot,going good and then even a SMALL WAVE of unemployment, sickness, relationship problems, or children challenges rocks their boat, and they fall apart, not knowing what to do! Im always amused at the little challenges in different friends days and theyre talking, ......its just SO STRESSFUL! Often times I want to scream, ITS JUST LIFE people, HANDLE IT! Now Im in no way saying that there arent ACTUAL stressful situations, BUT, we dont have to be like the those airline pilots who dont know have a CLUE what TO DO when turbulence hits! We must realize that, lifes TOUGH but Gods GOOD! The only people who like change are babies with dirty diapers and the only people without problems are pushing up daisies! Since, thats a FACT, JACK, will we run from adversity or will we learn from each challenge that comes our way? I by no means have come to the place that the Apostle Paul had arrived at in being able to say, Yes Lord, SLAP ME AGAIN! I cant wait to have another hard time! However, I am learning to ask, What are You trying to teach me? And Lord, make me a quick learner? Secondly, Ive learned to face tough times with a CONFIDENCE that I WILL make it through, because Ive learned that I CAN trust my Daddy who loves me, knows whats best for me and made me to WIN! Thirdly, Ive learned to give Him thanks IN everything, not FOR everything! And finally, Ive learned to take the authority of Gods Word and SPEAK to the challenge! These were not learned overnight or without going through many times of crying out, LORD, Im about to GO UNDER here! GOAL FOR THIS YEAR: only FREAK OUT when you know God is FREAKING OUT!
