Morning Devotion... He Came To Set The Captives Free. “But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered...” Isaiah 49:25. In Luke Chapter 13, there was a woman who had the spirit of infirmity for eighteen years who kept coming to church. She was coming embarrassed, humiliated, demeaned and disgraced, reduced to the lowest common denominator, having low self esteem and cannot lift up her face, yet she was in the church. Maybe an officer, she kept coming to church because she believed her circumstances would not remain the same way. I declare unto you now that as you maintain consistency in your walk and fellowship with God, you will experience a turnaround in your circumstances in Jesus name. So the woman kept believing and suddenly, here comes Jesus as He approached her saying: you can’t be in this type of assembly and remain like this. Who gave the devil the authority to dehumanize you? It is unacceptable. Jesus then said: thou art loosed. He didn’t say you will be loosed, He said woman, you are already loosed, meaning woman, you have no business remaining in this condition and the bible records that the woman was healed immediately and she glorified God. Child of God, I declare over your life now that thou art loosed. You are loosed from sickness, from poverty, from disappointment, failure, frustration and everything the devil has to offer. Whatever the enemy is putting on you, you are loosed from it. You will do things that have never been done before. For the first time, this woman straightened up. This woman remained so long in that condition because until now, she has never seen herself loose. She has never seen a God that looses. She had been seeing God as One that puts something on you because you did something wrong. But grace came intervening for her. Whatever form of captivity you might have found yourself, today, by the mandate of heaven, I command your captivity be over now in the name of Jesus Christ.
