Morning Family ~ What seems reasonable is not necessarily right! - TopicsExpress

Morning Family ~ What seems reasonable is not necessarily right! There are people who put more trust in a catchy phrase than in Gods word. But I can understand their reasoning. The world we live in seems upside down. Wrong is made to be right and those with more want even more while those with less get even less every day. The honest man seems to have an up hill climb when it comes to keeping a roof over the heads of his loved ones while the dishonest man seems to get away with murder. You do not need to seek someone else’s permission or their place in society in order to receive Gods blessing. You do not need to use tricks or costumes or lies to try to get the most out of your Christian life. All you need do is be yourself and ask God to forgive you of your sins and to make your life into something marvelous. Many of us have experiences when we find ourselves going off in some direction, perhaps for ordinary or uncertain reasons. Then something significant happens: a meeting, a conversation, an impact on somebodys life. The ordinary incident becomes extraordinary. It is then we recognize that we were in the right place at the right time. We may even claim that an angel told us to go there. And we may be correct in saying so. We are led some times, to some place, to someone who needs to hear a word from us. Our message may be one of explanation, witness, support, or encouragement. Though it may be expressed in very personal terms, the message does not belong to us. What we say is Gods word spoken through us. The one who hears it takes some decisive steps in life that recognizes and responds to the good news that comes from God. We all have probably used the excuse ‘I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time’. “And now at just the right time He has revealed this message, which we announce to everyone. It is by the command of God our Savior that I (we) have been entrusted with this work for him. (Titus 1:3 MSG) The Lord works in our circumstances, yet we must be sensitive to our opportunity. We must be available and unafraid. Whats required is not extraordinary knowledge or eloquence or an unusual depth of spirituality. We must simply speak the truth as we know it in our lives, bear witness to Christ as we know him. Thats what it means to share our faith. A great deal of the Christian life consists of our availability to act for God precisely when action is needed; to be available we must be free from fear, distraction, busyness, and ignorance of our abilities. Availability means we are free to act as neighbor for other people, free to put heart and head to work, free to take a risk, free to step out in hope. So what does it take for us to be at the right place at the right time with God? As long as we have breath in our lungs and we are here on this earth; the right place is to be in God presence and the right time is always. If you have ever been in a worship service and you left feeling like you were in God’s presence that is the way we should strive to be, not just on Sundays but all the time. Maybe you feel frustrated by the success of others and their Christian lives and you see a lack of success in your Christian life. Maybe you see them as heroes of the faith but what you have really failed to realize is that they had to do a lot of changing and growing to get to where they are. You may not be a hero of the faith yet, but that does not disqualify you from learning from one to become one. So on this “I’m in the right place at the right time” Monday, let us remember that everywhere we are, is the right place to be the people of God, and every day is the right time. Blessings and PEACE to you all, Right now time is the greatest time of all
