Morning Inspirations Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. (1 Peter 2:12) Good morning FBF!! Do you know that you are an ambassador for the kingdom of God?! As an ambassador, you can bring honor to the kingdom, or you can bring reproach by the way you live?! When I was in the military, traveling to be stationed in a foreign country, we were briefed on the customs of the country, and how we should conduct ourselves! We were representatives of the United States of America! If one American soldier caused problems while stationed in that country, it is possible that the people of the host nation may place all American soldiers in the same category as troublemakers! When we are seeing people of other countries burning the American flag, and burning our President in effigy, we don’t need to cause any more bad press by playing the role of “ugly American!” It’s the same with being a disciple of Christ! We should live according to kingdom principles; a light in a dark world; a city sitting on a hill for all to see and pattern themselves! The world is waiting for you to fall because of who you testify to be, and because of that testimony, they expect that you should be living a life different from theirs! The world will quickly recognize a fake! They may talk about you, and say things about you that are not true, but if you are living an honest life, they will be unable to spot it! When they brought Jesus before the Sanhedrin, they had to find false witnesses, to twist His words around to use against Him! The same thing happened afterwards to Jesus’ disciples! They lived an honest and holy life, preaching and teaching the gospel of hope through Jesus Christ! When they saw the disciples working in the power of the Holy Ghost, they could do nothing but glorify God! As the great Jewish teacher Gamaliel said of the disciples, “But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God!” Continue to walk uprightly before God and man, without wavering, and without compromise! You represent an eternal kingdom, and a God without end, who can never fail! Have a blessed day and weekend in the Lord!!
