Morning Inspirations That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. (John 1:9) Good morning FBF!! As an Adjunct Professor of Religious Studies, I have learned and taught about several religions, in addition to Christianity! The students learn about the origins, founder, history, and beliefs of each religion! But as a disciple of Jesus Christ, and minister of the Gospel, I believe in the person of Jesus Christ, who He is, with the witness of the Holy Ghost abiding in my soul! I study His word so “that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death!” I believe that Jesus Christ is “the true Light,” whom God has sent into the world to “reconcile the world unto Himself,” and forgiving the sins of those who accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior! A student asked me one time, “Have you doubted your faith since you have learned about so many other religions?!” I quickly responded with confidence, “No! Matter of fact, it has strengthened my faith!” I have found that other religions have some truth! All truth is of God! But they don’t have the complete truth! “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy,” and if other religious traditions don’t accept Christ as the only Way, Truth, and Life, then they have sadly taken the wrong direction! For our faith is “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone!” And if that “Cornerstone” is removed, the whole foundation comes tumbling down! “For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father!” He made the world, and “the world knew him not! He came unto His own, and His own received Him not! But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name!” Many claim to have the light, but without the “true Light,” which is Jesus Christ, they are still sitting in darkness!
