Morning Joe says we need more military folks in the senate. Why? Morning Joe and Mika seem to be in synch on this young congressmen from Arkansas who served in the military and did two tours overseas as a infantry captain when he could have been a military lawyer, had his degree from Harvard, instead and avoided the risk associated with serving overseas in a combat environment. One small problem with this assessment about the risk of serving in the military as a lawyer does anyone know what that is. My question this morning is whether we should follow this thing to a logical conclusion and put together a ranking for what types of service are more valuable because of inherent risk or lack of it. Who are the real heroes and should we do something to speed the success of those who have really served verses those who took the easy oversea asignments. Do we really want people playing politics with their military service. Do we really want MJ and Mika making the kind of slur on JAG officers that they made this morning to advance the political candidacy of a up and coming politician.
