Morning Prayer: Father God, thank you for a peaceful nights rest. I awake refreshed and ready to begin a new work day. As I sit quietly in Your presence, my heart is burdened this morning for those who are suffering. Father, You know the hearts and needs of Your people. I pray this morning that the burdens be lifted from people who are suffering from the flu epidemic, chronic illnesses, pain and emotional stress. You are the great Physician Who can cure all illnesses. We ask you to restore health and healing to your people and to a sick nation and let us experience Your never-ending perfect peace that only comes from You. Father, as we prepare for another New Year, help us to always remember the promises of Your Word that I do not have to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, all I have to do is present my requests to You (*Philippians 4:7). Therefore, we can walk into the year 2015 in confidence, because You are walking with us. Through all the changing circumstances of life, Lord, in joy as well as sorrow, my heart will sing Your praises and thank You for the abundant life that You have made possible for me.
