Morning Prayer with the Bishop Word for the Day: Transition Thought: A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mind set. Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 1 We can command and change our day. God has given us the power and authority in Jesus through the Holy Spirit to speak things as though they are. Jesus tells us that whatsoever we ask in His name shall be done. He said after the Holy Spirit has come upon us that we shall have power. We can verbally or mentally speak to our situation, condition, circumstances, environment and the atmosphere around us to bring it under subjection. Before we physically do anything it must first become a part of us by entering into us through our mind and thoughts, whether it be good or bad. The bible tells us to not be conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. What a man THINK so is he. You are only what you BELIEVE YOU ARE. Change your mind set you can change your condition. I have a friend who works out, sometimes it can be hard, painful and makes the person to maybe want to give up but I notice this individual never gives up and keeps going back for more because they have a made up mind to overcome the pain, the hurt and struggles they may encounter. I love the old hymns and songs because they have substance and meaning that can inspire and encourage you to hold on and go through. One song in particular says with a made up mind by Rev. Donald Vails says: With a made up mind With a made up mind Im willing to go all the way through Though it cost my life Im willing to pay the price Ive got Heaven in my view. If it means that I have to walk alone Or that my friends they may be few Im not gonna worry about What others may say or do Ive got Heaven in my view.
