Morning Prayers Good Morning Lord - this is the day that you have made and we rejoice in it - we rejoice in you - Lord, there is none like you - may you be ever praised. Father, we confess we have sinned - we know our sin, it is ever before us - we ask you to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness - we pray for those near and far who have illness, disease, injuries to their bodies or minds - Lord, touch them, heal them or something better according to your perfect will - grant them peace in the midst of this time of deep challenge - Father, there are many who are hurting in many other ways - in their family, in their finances, in their church family, in their surroundings, in difficult political or religious circumstances, imprisoned - we pray for your presence, your purpose, your peace in the midst of the struggle - Lord have mercy we pray. Lord, we thank you that you are with us as we go into and through this day - we thank you Lord that no matter what this day brings we are - our lives are - our circumstances are - in your hands and you are with us - our hope Lord is not in the day, not in our circumstances, not in our strength - our hope is in Christ alone. We praise you and thank you for all you have done, all you are doing, all you have promised and we know you will do. Praise God. Amen.
