Morning Rant: Watching the morning news like I usually do (yes, mainly Fox News because I like to get the news that the administration supported leftist news organizations won’t report), I had to laugh about something I saw. Todd Starnes, a Fox News contributor, author and columnist reported that Facebook took down some conservative items that he had posted on his home page. After he complained, citing liberal and other more “left” postings his articles were restored. Facebook blamed this removal on some low level staffers. Gee, I wonder where we have heard that story before? It seems that Facebook doesn’t really have a tolerant view of conservative postings that professional, visible individuals post after all. I see a lot of postings about conservative issues and I am guilty of the same, I guess that you have to somehow get “noticed.” Could be that he is a member of a conservative leaning news organization that is critical of a failed administration and its policies? Hmmmm, makes you think. So, like Starnes, this is how I am going to post my more conservative articles. Today, I am going dress in my AR-15 tee-shirt and my “I support the NRA” ball cap, run out to Chik-fil-A for a chicken biscuit and when I get back, run down to the mailbox to see if my copy of the “National Review” is there so that I can look for more conservative ideas. This afternoon, I will pull out my Paula Deen cookbook to look for some dinner ideas. After dinner, I might write an article on how “politically correct” certain institutions like Washington state and publishers like Zondervan Publishing Company have become. Washington has today a law becoming effective that removes such words as “freshman and penmanship,” and any other non-gender friendly words from their vocabulary. So be careful if you go to Seattle and say a word containing “man.” You just might be breaking the law. So, I guess if I criticize that Facebook might contact the P.C. police. Zondervan, a leading publisher of Bibles and other religious materials have in the latest publishing of their New Living Translation bible have removed gender denoting words and phrases only to replaced them with gender neutral terms. Really, the word of the Lord and testament to faith changed from the way it was written to become politically correct? On the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine” Album, (now that’s an old term), George Harrison sings a song entitled, “It’s All Too Much.” Oops, being “conservative” again. Sorry, but it’s Just My Opinion!
