Morning! Right, so yesterday if you read the post about gut health and body composition you will probably understand a little bit better about how our body systems all work together and can affect what we are doing in the gym. Here is the first post I have written on Functional Sports Nutrition, which looks at the importance of overall health for sports performance. Most of my experience comes from working with CrossFit Athletes. Due to the high intensity nature of the sport, underlying health is so important. This is NOT advice that is going to get your body builder ripped, but it may help you to perform at whatever sports or gym workouts that YOU enjoy and feel healthier, leaner and more energetic while you are at it!
