Kojja Ssempagama, So my husband and I have been married for a year, but been together for 6 years. When we first started dating he had a full time year round job and could hold his own. About a year after we moved in together he was laid off and got a job in construction where he only works about 6-7 months out of the year. I have a 10 year old daughter from a previous relationship, and recently found out that we are expecting. I work full time and have a pretty well paying job. Well since he has been working seasonally and doesn’t get paid for unemployment, we struggle and are never sure if we will be able to pay the bills or even rent. He has been telling me that he is looking for another job but its 4 years since he lost his job and no new job. I have told him that we will not be able to afford to buy diapers or feed our new baby if he’s not working. He doesn’t seem to care. Since November all he seems to care about is sitting on the couch watching TV and sleeping. He helps with little to nothing and if he does help I have to ask him 15 times before he will do something. I love my husband dearly but he makes me want to leave him. When I told him this he told me that I am being selfish because I don’t like the fact that he’s not working. I once again brought up that he needs to find a year round job today and he told me that maybe I should go find a new job because he likes his job. I dont know how to take this. I dont know what to do/say anymore and just want to sit here and cry and cry because this is not the man that I dated. Anyone in similar situations or have any advice for me?
