However, southern areas of the UK will become somewhat cloudier into this afternoon, turning any sunshine here hazy. It wont be a completely dry day either, with Northern Ireland, the Republic and western Scotland seeing scattered showers, some of which will spread across to eastern Scotland as well. The showers could be heavy with the risk of the odd thunderstorm. A few showers may break out elsewhere as well, mostly over East Anglia, the south-east, the Midlands and maybe east Wales.
